Image to Text (OCR) Tutorial

The **Image to Text** tool (OCR) allows you to extract editable text from images, screenshots, or scanned documents instantly. It supports multiple languages and offers downloads in **TXT**, **Word (DOCX)**, and **PDF** formats.

1. Upload Your Image

Start by loading the image containing the text you want to extract.

Upload Methods:

  • Drag & Drop: Place your file directly into the upload box.
  • Select Image: Click the button to browse files on your device.
  • Formats: Supports JPG, PNG, and WebP files.

A preview of your image will appear once uploaded.

2. Select Language & Extract

For accurate results, tell the tool which language is used in the image.

Configuration:

  • Choose Language: Select from English, Bengali, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, French, and many more.
  • Start OCR: Click the **"Extract Text"** button to begin the scanning process.
  • The extraction uses Tesseract OCR technology to convert pixels into editable characters.

3. Copy or Download

Once processing is complete, your text will appear in the result box.

Export Options:

  • Copy to Clipboard: Quickly copy the text to paste it elsewhere.
  • Download as Word (.docx): Perfect for editing the layout and formatting later.
  • Download as .txt or .pdf: Save purely as text or a portable document format.

Why use OCR?

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) saves you time by digitizing physical documents, extracting text from screenshots, or translating text from images without having to manually retype everything.
